I put a ton of research into this novel, so if you like learning something new while you are enraptured by a rich tale, you will love Savage Forest. The Lenni Lenape culture of Eastern Pennsylvania is incredibly interesting .... as well as the town of New Amstel along the Delaware River in the 1600's. The Swedes, Dutch, and Finn immigrants of the time were a fascinating people, and although disturbances with the native peoples were rare - they happened.
Such was the fate of Jenna and Running Wolf. Although constantly at odds through circumstance (and stubborn natures), the pair must find a way to overcome their differences and admit the undeniable attraction that bonded them from the very first moment of contact in the forest. Jenna learns that the strength within can carry a woman through anything and everything, just for the sake of love.
